Unshakeable faith over 'perfect' paper
AFTER three days of exams, Junior Cert students were "fairly high" rather than jaded as they emerged from their maths exams yesterday, one teacher reported, writes Grainne Cunningham.
Brigid Cleary, of ASTI and St Flannan's College, Ennis, said candidates appeared to have been happy with both the higher and ordinary level papers yesterday afternoon.
She described the higher level paper as "perfect", with nothing that should have shaken those sitting the exam, the last year that pupils will answer questions on the old-style syllabus.
No candidates at her school left the exam hall early which "is a good sign" as they were not defeated by the exam, she said.
