Question on Beyonce's sparkler tests the mettle
AN Egyptian pyramid and Beyonce's engagement ring were just two of the interesting puzzles used to test Leaving Certificate higher level design students, writes Louise Hogan.
Teachers felt the design and communication graphics paper was overall a "good balanced paper".
The ASTI's John O'Sullivan, of CBS New Ross, said the questions on both higher and ordinary level papers were "fair" and pitched at an "appropriate level".
"The questions posed were imaginative and would have stimulated students' interest on the day," he said.
The TUI's Brian Doran, of St Kevin's Community College, Co Wicklow, said there was "no room" on the paper for students to have left out parts of the course as "everything was examined".
