Horan takes time out from world tour to wish his schoolmates 'good luck'

ONE Direction superstar Niall Horan still found time on his world tour to wish his best mates from school good luck with their exams.

The 18-year-old left school a year before completing his Leaving Cert after being catapulted to fame on the 'X Factor' two years ago.

And his gamble paid off as the former student now plays to sellout stadiums in Mexico with the biggest boyband on the planet.

But Mr Horan hasn't forgotten best mates Sean Cullen (16) and Brad Byrne (18) who are busy with their Junior and Leaving cert exams in Mullingar this week.

"Goodluck to all doin leavin and junior cert tomorrow @seancullen95 @bradbyr," he tweeted.

And Mr Horan joked he could have done with more schooling in geography when he mistakenly tweeted that Mexico was in South America.

He quickly corrected himself when fans pointed out that the country is in Central America.

The boyband star said he had learned about "rivers and glaciers" but wished he knew more about the map of the world.
