Four of the best at IT Carlow

IT Carlow has received approval for four evening courses under the new Springboard Initiative, which has been developed to assist unemployed people to remain close to the labour market by accessing part-time flexible higher education and training opportunities:

- Certificate in Computer Systems (this is a Level 6 award).

- Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (this is a Level 6 award).

- BSc in Management (Energy) -- this course requires a recognised apprenticeship or accredited trainee technician scheme (this is a Level 7 award).

- HDip in Business (Supply Chain Management) -- this course requires a degree as it is a Level 8 award.

All of these courses are available at each of IT Carlow's three campuses in Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford. Typically, participants study two evenings a week and the occasional Saturday. Lifelong Learning also offers a wide range of other courses from Level 6 up to Level 9.
