Change of mind

Following the publication of a special feature on the CAO Change of Mind process last week, the Irish Independent is happy to clarify a number of points

Students submitting a Change of Mind application who are already enrolled in a course in a higher education institution (HEI), and who have completed their summer exams, must supply a certified copy of their results by post to the CAO.

All applicants are advised to check their CAO choices to ensure that the course has not been cancelled or changed.

The HEI you applied to will generally inform applicants of any course changes, but ultimately the responsibility for accuracy lies with the applicant.

The Student Contribution charge will increase to €2,250 this September, but this does not apply in private colleges.
