Trinity College graduate Jonathan Cloonan (27) caused a stir recently when he appeared on a Forbes list of 30 brightest young to watch under 30.
Mr Cloonan, above, who works for the media firm Ogilvy & Mather/WPP, has certainly shown how to get noticed by employers.
He was competing for his job as a Fellow with WPP with PhD candidates from Oxford, Cambridge and some leading US universities.
Eight months before the position opened up, he started a blog called 'Tall Irish Leprechaun' and took the Twitter username 'WPP Fellowship'.
He then effectively became a critic of WPP, commenting on advertising campaigns run by WPP companies.
"If nothing else, it got me noticed. They may have thought I was crazy, but they knew who I was," he said in an interview after he was included on the Forbes list.
