An Irish blogger who documented her labour on Snapchat has welcomed a baby girl in Dublin's Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital.

Grace Mongey, the woman behind popular make-up blog Faces by Grace, shared images and video while in labour with her Snapchat followers before welcoming her first child last night.

The blogger has shared details about her pregnancy with her followers throughout the past nine months, and introduced the new addition on Facebook this morning.

“Baby Faces entered this world at 22:29pm last night. Weighing a fab 9 pounds 4 and is perfect,” the blogger wrote.

The make-up artist has been the recipient of much media attention since opting to share intimate moments from the delivery room and has received praise from her followers who congratulated her in their hundreds this morning.

Throughout the past few days, the blogger revealed she had passed her due date and told her followers of the home remedies she was trying in the hope of inducing labour.

Last night’s updates from Snapchat included images of Mongey receiving epidural and images of her partner holding the pair’s “little doll”.
