Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and grandsons Rocco and Jay (7) left Croke Park smiling following Dublin’s 11-point victory over Laois in the All-Ireland Football Championship yesterday.
The twins regularly accompany their doting granddad to support Dublin GAA and decked out in blue with the thousands of others to watch Dublin dominate in Croker.
Georgina and Nicky Byrne’s twin boys were the first pair of grandchildren for Bertie who has since welcomed 3 more, Cecelia’s children Robin and Sonny and most recently baby Gia Byrne who was born in October.
Earlier this year, Bertie’s youngest daughter author Cecelia said that the politician was the perfect granddad to the ever growing brood.
"He is totally hands-on. He hasn't changed a nappy but I would definitely leave them in his care for a while," she said.
