A touching new video launched by Make-A-Wish has highlighted the impact the charity has on Irish children facing life threatening conditions and their families.

The emotional video, created to launch the charity’s Make Memories campaign, features a little girl who expresses just how much her granted wish meant to her little brother.

“I wish he always knew how much I loved him but before I had my wish granted, I don’t think he did," the little girl says speaking of her brother.

"I think he felt I got too much attention, always in and out of hospital. Then I made my wish and we all got to share it. It was the best day of my life, all of our lives. We made so many memories together."

As she speaks, her family enjoys a picnic in the park, but towards the end of the video, it is revealed that she has actually passed away and they are sitting on a bench in her memory.

Make-A-Wish Ireland grants the wishes of children living with life-threatening medical conditions and since 1992, the charity has fulfilled the dreams of more than 1,800 children.
