"Turkey, ham and...um, pineapple," Jack Reynor reveals his Christmas menu
Transformers star Jack Reynor is rustling up a culinary storm in the kitchen this Christmas.
The Wicklow-born star popped into Brown Thomas on Dublin’s Grafton Street this morning, to contribute to the 2FM Toy Appeal, now in its fourth year running in aid of St. Vincent de Paul.
He told the Irish Independent about his plans over the festive season - and his excitement to be donning an apron.
"I'm actually a good cook, I really enjoy it and I cook a lot, so I'm going to be doing the turkey and ham, with pineapple. It'll be nice to spend quality time with my family and friends, that's the most important thing to me because obviously I've been away much of this year."
The 22-year-old, who returned from the US earlier this month after shooting Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers: The Age of Extinction’ with Mark Wahlberg, said that it has been one of the best years of his life.
Jack won an IFTA award for his part in Lenny Abrahamson’s dark drama ‘What Richard Did’ and credits the film for opening doors for him overseas - especially as it grabbed the attention of the director when he was casting the blockbuster.
Audiences will see Jack as Shane, the love interest of Mark Wahlberg's daughter in the fourth instalment of action franchise.
He and Mark even became so close that they enjoyed several basketball sessions at Mark's home and took to playing regular pranks on their co-stars when on set.
Dressed down in a black leather jacket and jeans, Jack arrived with girlfriend, model Madeleine Mulqueen, and turned out with a Transformers' Optimus Prime doll in hand.
The Toy Appeal campaign originated as the ‘Toys for Tubs’ initiative in 2010 and over the past three years has collected 150,000 toys donated and distributed to families in need.
Bryan Dobson, Larry Gogan and 'Love/Hate' actress Aoibhinn McGinnity were also at Brown Thomas.
