Bord Bia audits all the producers that carry the Quality Mark, ensuring animal health, welfare and traceability as well as factory hygiene.
The producers are regularly inspected. It means that you, the consumer, can have peace of mind about the quality of the meat.
The Quality Mark is not just available on turkeys but on a range of meats you may be buying this Christmas including beef, pork, bacon, cooked ham, rashers, chicken, duck and sausages. You will also find it on eggs, fruit, vegetables and potatoes.
