A room full of over 700 inspirational, talented businesswomen attending the Image Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2018 on International Men's Day! The atmosphere was electric as co-hosts Melanie Morris of Genius Ideas Inc and INM Group Business Editor, Dearbhail McDonald, announced winners in eight categories drawn from over 80 nominees.
One of the biggest cheers on the night went up for Jennifer Taaffe, CEO, iZest Marketing Group who won the Digital and Technology Businesswoman of the Year award. Looking wow in an ombré sequinned Rixo London dress, Jennifer was photographed with her husband, Alan McGovern. It was a case of third time lucky for Fiona Heaney, founder and designer of Fee G, who won the Creative Businesswoman of the Year after two previous nominations.
Róisín O'Sullivan, marketing manager of the Marker Hotel, was snapped (above) with Astrid Brennan when the hotel hosted a party in their Presidential Suite to launch the new range of advanced skincare technology treatments to the hotel's award-winning Spa & Wellness.
Elsewhere, Dunnes Stores boss Margaret Heffernan was photographed with Maura Connolly at the launch of Kathleen Watkins' second book, Happy Christmas Pigín, at the Dunnes Stores head office. Kathleen's husband, Gay, proof read the book during the summer and was the proudest grandad cheering on Kathleen's latest tome.
2018 has been a busy year for restaurateur Padraig McLoughlin. In March, his fiancée, Kathryn Thomas, gave birth to their daughter Ellie, and now Padraig has become Head of Food & Beverage at Kildare Village where, in addition to Saba, they've just opened Rolling Donut, Waffle Inc and Burger Boy.
