From Lisbon to Galway in a couple of hours, my cúpla focal improved remarkably when I caught up with the team from TG4's flagship Irish language soap opera, Ros na Rún, as they pulled down the shutters on their explosive 21st season and headed to their wrap party in the Connemara Coast Hotel.

The show will continue to broadcast on TG4 until June 16, but the actors and crew let their hair down and celebrated their milestone in true Galway style. There were a number of the original cast members, who've been on the show since the very beginning, including, Máire Éilis Ní Fhlaithearta - who plays the feisty Caitriona Ní Loideáin, owner of the day spa Loinnir (above) - with Eadaoin Nic Giolla Chomhaill of D'Arcy Marketing & PR. Eadaoin's boss, fellow gaeilgeoir Noreen D'Arcy, is always patient with my broken Irish, but as she knows from my Galway sojourns during race week, my Irish vocabulary, like my school French, improves remarkably with a cúpla gloine of vin rouge!

I spotted (above) Brídín Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh, who plays Katy Daly from Donegal, who currently has a strong storyline surrounding the paternity of her child. Also at the party were MD of Tyrone Production's Patricia Carroll, who for 21 seasons has led the co-production of the soap with EO Teilifís, which is now headed up by producer Siobhan Ní Ghadhra.

Also present were the Ní Fhlatharta sisters: series producer, Deirdre, her sister Mags who is involved in the show's art department, and Kate who scripts the show. The crew raised a glass in memory of the show's creator, founder and series producer, Máire Ní Thuathail, of EO Teilifís, who passed away in last autumn following a short illness. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

Talk about a total fashion crush! BT's fashion director, (above) Shelly Corkery, arrived to the Brown Thomas SS17 fashion show and luncheon at Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in a Prada skirt and top, Gucci shoes, and Celine earrings. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception before being treated to a private fashion show followed by lunch in the new-look Guilbauds.

It was a fun night out on Monday as Glossybox held a Girls Night Out at Movie's at Dundrum to celebrate their February LOVE Box. Guests got to see Fifty Shades Darker and take home the February Glossybox, which doesn't go on sale until this weekend. They collaborated with the number one luxury skincare brand, La Mer, to create a limited edition box of transformative products. The evening was hosted by (above) Rachel Kavanagh, the company's MD of Ireland & UK (pictured, above, left) with Jenny Buckley, (far left) who looked fabulous in navy and black. There were a host of glam models in attendance, including Teodora Sutra, Holly Carpenter, Gail Kaneswaren and (below) Kerri Nicole Blanc with Sinead Noonan.
