Young aviation fans looking for unusual holiday accommodation could do well to check out the Jumbo Hostel at Arlanda Airport near Stockholm, Sweden.
It's a hostel located inside a decommissioned 747-200 jetliner, and which was originally built in 1976 for Singapore Airlines. It was last operated by Transjet, a Swedish airline that went bankrupt in 2002.
Before opening as a hostel in 2008, the jumbo jet was fitted out with a new interior design, and offers dormitory-style accommodation as well as private rooms.
The hostel is ten minutes away from the check-in counters at Arlanda Airport, so be prepared for the sound of overhead planes.
