
TWO men were rescued from a burning caravan in Cork.
One man was rushed to Cork University Hospital (CUH) with what are understood to be serious injuries after the incident at Midleton in east Cork.
He is now said to be in a critical condition.
The other man is understood to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
However, his injuries are not understood to be life threatening.
The blaze broke out in the caravan shortly before 6am.
Neighbours and Midleton fire brigade rushed to the scene and dragged the two young men away from the burning mobile home.
Gardai are now investigating the cause of the fire.
However, it is thought to be a tragic accident.
The injured men are in their 20s and from the east Cork area.
