Workers struggle to switch off on break
THE holiday is over for many workers before they even step foot in the office again.
A new survey found most office workers could not switch off from work while on leave, and 70pc said they could have trouble sleeping the night before going back.
The report by office suppliers Viking reveals that just 44pc can forget about work completely.
Most employees said their boss would never disturb them on holidays, but four in 10 said they sometimes got a work call.
Director of Viking in Ireland, Michael Walby, said many staff viewed their holidays as "sacrosanct time away" but yet a surprising number did not object to the odd call from work.
