Woman's search for young daughter

AN Irishwoman, wrongfully jailed for sexually abusing her own children, is launching an international search to find her youngest daughter.

Eilish Enright was jailed for six years for allegedly abusing her children and served the full term before being fully exonerated.

She has now been reunited with all but one of her eight children.

Now living in Kildare, she is hoping she will be reunited with her daughter before she turns 21 on September 27.

"The last time I saw Nikita was just before she turned four and I have no idea where she is now," Eilish told the Joe Duffy show on RTE radio.

Eilish visited a psychic last year who told her Nikita is probably living in the US or Canada.

So she is now preparing to start searching internationally. "She wasn't even four when I saw her last so she might not even remember me. She might not even know she's adopted."

Her nightmare began in 1991 when her husband was arrested at their Welsh home and found guilty of sexually abusing two of his step children.

However, immediately after his conviction, all of Eilish's children, aged from 3 to 13, were taken from her and put into foster care as she became the focus of investigation herself.

"One day I was at home making the dinner, watching Coronation Street, waiting for the kids to come home from school," Eilish said.

"Then I was in prison for the abuse and molestation of my own children whom I would never see again."

Despite furiously denying all the charges, Eilish was sentenced to six years imprisonment.
