A WOMAN was dragged from her car during a hijacking in west Belfast, police have said.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the attack on Kennedy Way at about 8.15pm last night.

The suspect, aged between 30 and 40 and wearing a grey hooded jacket, pulled the female driver from a blue Nissan X Trail before ordering her passenger out. The car was later recovered in the Downfine Gardens.

Elsewhere, a man and woman needed hospital treatment when they were attacked in their home by three masked men carrying baseball bats.

The aggravated burglary happened in the Green Walk area of Newtownabbey shortly before midnight.
