Witness appeal over fatal crash
GARDAI are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic accident that claimed the life of a 46-year-old taxi driver on Sunday morning.
Father-of-three Paudie Fitzmaurice died when the minibus he was driving went out of control and crashed on the Scartaglin to Castleisland road in Co Kerry at around 2.50am.
Mr Fitzmaurice, who was working at the time, had just dropped some people home to Scartaglin and was on his way back to Castleisland when the accident happened about three miles outside the town.
He was dead at the scene. His remains were removed to Kerry General Hospital.
