Winners bought tickets in 'lucky' Lotto shops

TWO 'lucky' shops were last night at the centre of the search for two new Lotto millionaires.

The two winners will pick up around €3.3m each after sharing the €6.7m win on Saturday.

And each bought their ticket in shops that have enjoyed previous Lotto success.

A €6 quickpick ticket bought at Fitzpatrick's Londis in Market House, Cahirciveen in Co Kerry, made one customer an instant millionaire.

It is the second time that owner Jack Fitzpatrick has sold a ticket which has matched all six numbers.

Meanwhile, a €12 ticket bought in Salmons Department Store in Ballinasloe in Galway also hit the jackpot at the weekend.

It is the second time in six months that the store has sold a winning ticket, although the previous prize was a "mere" €500,000.
