THE wife of former Anglo Irish chief executive David Drumm is to be questioned about her finances next month, following revelations of significant cash transfers to her by her husband.
Lorraine Drumm will also be forced to provide financial documents ahead of a hearing connected to her husband's US bankruptcy application. The move was signalled in court papers filed in a Boston court yesterday.
It came just weeks after it emerged Mr Drumm transferred €550,000 into his wife's American bank account shortly before he quit as boss of the ailing lender in late 2008.
Subject to the approval of a judge, Mrs Drumm will have to provide documents including bank statements and documents relating to any property transfers between her and her husband.
Lawyers acting for Anglo have already questioned the accuracy of financial information provided by Mr Drumm as part of the bankruptcy process.
