When a No means a Yes
AN economist promoted by Sinn Fein warned yesterday a No vote will mean more austerity. UCD's Karl Whelan was quoted on a Sinn Fein leaflet saying: "The economics of this treaty are pretty terrible".
Sinn Fein forgot to mention Mr Whelan was advocating a Yes vote as "the arguments favour Ireland's signing up to it".
Sinn Fein's Peadar Toibin argued at the weekend a No vote would mean not having the "politics of austerity implemented". He should have consulted the experts.
