What it says in the papers

The arrest of Sinn Fein party leader Gerry Adams and the shocking results from the toxicology tests taken after Peaches' death cover the national papers this morning.

'SF election hopes hit as Adams arrested over mother-of-10's murder' writes Daniel McConnell and Niall O'Connor for the Irish Independent over the detainment concerning the murder more than 40 years ago.

The Herald reports 'Adams murder arrest' as the party leader was arrested and quizzed over the 1972 murder of Jean McConville.

'Adams' murder probe arrest 'political'' is the story from the Irish Examiner reporting that the Sinn Fein leader is being questioned by the PSNI.

Meanwhile, the Irish Daily Mail leads with 'Adams arrested over the murder of widow' and the Irish Daily Mirrow writes 'Adams quizzed on jean's murder'.

But although the Irish Daily Star reports 'Adam's Jean murder arrest', it's front page lead reports 'Heroin killed Peaches'.

'Peaches 'died of heroin overdose'' writes the Irish Independent as the mother-of -two is reported to have died from the same drug that killed her mother Paula Yates 14 years ago.

The Irish Examiner also leads with this story 'Peaches die of heroin overdose' reporting of the parallels between her death and the death of her mother which had obsessed her.

'Heroin killed Peaches...just like her mother' writes Irish Daily Mirror and the Irish Daily Mail tops their front page with 'Peaches 'died of heroin overdose''.
