CAROLINE WOZNIACKI has moved to scotch reports that she has split up with golfer Rory McIlroy - by posting a picture of the pair together on a social networking site.

The pair had earlier added to the intrigue over their apparent break-up by chatting with each other on Twitter

McIlroy (24) took to social media site Twitter yesterday for the first time in days.

But instead of confirming the break-up outright, McIlroy said that informed sources were “wrong 99.9pc of the time”. He did not deny the split.

After McIlroy’s comment, Wozniacki responded to his tweet saying: “Ha ha. That's not a very good percentage. Lol (laugh out loud)”

And tennis star has tonight posted a picture of herself with the golfer after a deluge of reports that the McIlroy had ended their relationship after two years together.

"Since my profile pic made big headlines I better change it again lol," she wrote as she posted the picture.

However, the Irish Independent understands that their relationship ended recently.

Reports in other media said that the golfer was advised by his management team to announce the end of his two-year relationship with the Dane last Friday at the press conference following his second round of The Barclays at Liberty National in New Jersey.

However, the Co Down native remained quiet on his personal life and it is believed the two-time Major winner is deciding on the best time to announce news.

There was initial speculation after fans noticed that the couple had both changed their Twitter profile pictures from a ‘his and hers' shot, to a single portrait.

“Just because we changed our Twitter profile picture doesn't mean that we're not together,” the golfer said.
