Wayne's boys ride into town for Ford celebration with Miriam
JOHN Wayne's sons Patrick and Ethan are coming to Ireland this week as part of the John Ford Symposium and Gathering.
The Wayne boys, who are both actors, will talk to Miriam O'Callaghan about their father's movie career during a public interview at the Savoy cinema in Dublin this Friday.
The brothers will also discuss the Duke's collaborations with Quiet Man director John Ford, giving poignant and entertaining anecdotes and memories of growing up with the two Hollywood legends and life on the sets of film classics such as The Searchers, She Wore A Yellow Ribbon and Rio Grande among others. The interview is followed by a unique re-mastered screening of The Searchers, which has been hailed by many as the 'greatest western of all time'.
Tickets for the public interview and screening are €15, with all proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society – a cause dear to the Wayne family's heart. The Second John Ford Ireland Symposium takes place on June 6 to June 9, bringing together film fans and film-makers from all over the world for four days of screenings and lively discussions.
