This footage was recorded on Tuesday at Dublin airport during Storm Eleanor.

The storm wreaked havoc from west to east of the country bringing gusts of 155km/h, causing flooding and leaving thousands without power.

"It just so happened that I was in Dublin on the day of the storm, the westerley wind was gusting up to 42 knots making for some interesting approaches and landings onto Runway 28", Matthew told Independent.ie.

Footage was also captured at Dublin airport last year when hurricane Ophelia hit Ireland;
