The pet Expo has been showcasing a wide array of pets for the last two days, from the very cutest to the very scaliest.

The Expo featured 'Murphy the Skateboarding Rugby Playing Rescue Dog' and Alpacas, along with over 40 different breeds of dogs.

Some breeds had never before been seen in Ireland, such as the Chinese Crested, Grifon Bruxelles and the Scottish Terrier.

A Catalan sheepdog featured at the event - the breed of dog from the Back To The Future franchise.

The Expo also boasted a 'puppy socialisation area', where puppies aged three months and over could "have fun with some new friends" in the cutest creche ever.

In a press release, the Expo organisers wrote that Ireland is a "nation who loves animals and pets".

They promised punters would "feel like you are entering into an animal kingdom! and they  did, getting "up close to all sorts of animals and birds from the feathered, small and furry, from cats and dogs to more unusual alpacas and snakes".

Family tickets were only €25 and four legged friends were allowed to come for free.

Experts were on hand to advise attendees who wanted to get a dog but weren't sure what breed would suit their lifestyle.
