Dublin Fire Brigade had to battle a blazing fire on Monday night after a car was set alight in the Tallaght area.

The fire services were alerted to the incident at around 10.40pm in Kiltalown.

They took to Twitter to warn people of the dangers posed by car fires:

"Car fires are dangerous & produce toxic smoke.

"Exploding magnesium can also harm. Never approach a car fire, call us on 999/112 & keep clear."
