The father of the waiter charged with the murder of two Irish women in Turkey last year has also been charged with their murder.

Eyup Cetin is accused of stabbing to death Marion Graham and her friend Kathy Dinsmore. His son 22-year-old Recip has already admitted that he killed the two women.

Ms Graham (54) and Ms Dismore (53), from Co Down, were stabbed to death in a secluded forest on the outskirts of Izmir last August.

Recip Cetin, who was dating Ms Graham’s teenage daughter Shannon at the time, admitted to police at the time that he had killed them.

Cetin claimed to be aged 17 at the time of the attack, which meant he would be tried as a juvenille. Medical results have since proven that he is 22, but a judge has ordered a second opinion on the tests.

The trial is not now expected to take place until October.
