'Vote with passion, not anger'

VETERAN US civil rights campaigner, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, has urged Irish people to "vote with passion and not anger" on polling day later this month, writes Kevin Keane.

The Reverend Jackson, pictured above with Marie Luc and her daughter Marine Aisling Luc (2) from the Discovery Gospel Choir at the Church of George and St Thomas on Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin, was speaking after his arrival in the capital. He called on voters to choose politicians who would put people's interests ahead of party interests.
