'Unexpected death' of man on beach probed by gardai
GARDAI say they are not yet treating the sudden death of a man whose body was found on a beach as suspicious.
However, the results of a post-mortem examination due to be carried out at Kerry General Hospital (KGM) today will determine if the investigation will be upgraded.
Gardai in Killarney investigating the death of Michael O' Sullivan (49) from Killognaveen, Cahirsiveen, Co Kerry, are appealing for information from the public to trace his final movements.
Mr O'Sullivan's body was discovered near the beach in Renard at around 2.15pm yesterday afternoon.
The case is being treated as an unexpected death but foul play cannot be ruled out until the results of the post-mortem are known.
A garda spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious as of yet.
