Two people rushed to hospital after road collision

Two people have been injured following a road traffic collision on the southside of the capital.

The incident occurred at the junction of Con Colbert Road and the South Circular Road near the Kilmainham area of the city.

Emergency services are currently at the scene and two people are being treated for injuries. The details of those injured and the extent of their injuries are not yet known.

Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB ) confirmed that they have two ambulances at the scene, and were called out at approximately 7.15pm.

Heavy tailbacks have been caused as a result of the collision and a section of the road remains sealed-off to facilitate emergency service personnel.
