Gardai investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a recycling bin have arrested two people.

The body of homeless man Henryk Piotrowski, who was originally from Poland, was found in a bin at a waste recycling facility in the Walkinstown area of Dublin on August 23rd.

This morning, gardai arrested two people – a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s.

The pair were arrested in Dublin’s city centre this morning at approximately 8am.

They are currently being detained at Crumlin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The death of Mr Piotrowski was the subject of an appeal by gardai who sought the public’s assistance in tracing his last movements.
