Red line Luas services are experiencing significant delays after a car collided with a tram in the city centre.

The incident happened on Queen Street at around 11am this morning.

Two people who were travelling in the car and the Luas driver were taken to hospital as a "precaution", a spokeswoman for Transdev said.

Three units of Dublin Fire Brigade and two ambulances attended the scene.

Services had been out of action but have since resumed, with heavy delays expected for the rest of the afternoon.

Customers are being advised to check the Luas app and website for updates.
