Gardai in Drogheda have confirmed that two men have been interviewed by them after they called voluntarily to Drogheda garda station last night.

The men had earlier been confronted by a vigilante group.

The group describes itself as ‘Paedophile hunters’ and it is alleged that the men had communicated online with teenage girls.

A garda spokesman confirmed that men were confronted at two locations in Drogheda.

The men were interviewed, no one has been arrested and a full investigation has begun.
