Two men arrested following apartment car park shooting
Gardai have arrested two men in connection with an incident where a man was shot at as he attempted to flee a car that was rammed by a separate vehicle.
The two men, both aged in their thirties, were arrested in Dublin city on Monday, January 5.
The incident took place at the Islandbridge Court apartments/Bellevue apartments car park on Saturday, November 1 last year, at approximately 6.55pm.
From initial Garda investigations, it appeared that a red Honda Civic car rammed another car, a silver BMW in the car park, before two men ran from the Honda and proceeded to fire shots after a man who had fled from the BMW.
The man (35) escaped into Bellevue Apartments and was uninjured.
The arrested men are currently detained at Irishtown and Kilmainham Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939.
