Two men arrested after seven houses were attacked

Gardai have arrested two men after seven houses were attacked in Drogheda, Co Louth.

Six houses reported criminal damage to gardai and a seventh reported an aggravated burglarly, within the same timeframe.

All seven incidents occurred on January 8 in the early hours of the morning.

Two houses in the Beechwood area were attacked, with LMFM news reporting that a stolen car was driven through the front door of one of the houses.

Criminal damage was also done to houses in Tredagh View and Ballsgrove.

Gardai said that windows were damaged and glasses were smashed at some of the houses.

According to gardai, two males were arrested at a property in Beechwood at around 3am on Sunday morning.

It is believed that the males may have been drinking earlier in the day.

They are currently being held at Drogheda garda station.
