Two brothers stabbed at Galway Court House
Two brothers are being treated in hospital after they were stabbed at Galway courthouse this morning.
Three other men, who are also believed to be related, have been arrested and taken to Millstreet Garda Station.
The two injured men who are aged 17 and 20 were stabbed in the back and arm. They have been taken to University College Hospital for treatment.
Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The incident occurred at around 10.50am at Galway District Court.
It is understood that the men were not due to appear before the court but were there supporting family members.
It is believed the incident relates to an ongoing family feud in the city.
One of the detained men was arrested outside the courthouse shortly after the incident.
Cleaning staff were called to the courthouse where traces of blood could be seen inside the front door of the building.
Cases at the court continue this morning and the building was not evacuated as a result of the incident.
