Trocaire urges ban on West Bank imports

AID agency Trocaire urged the government to ban the importation of goods that come from Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

The charity's executive director, Justin Kilcullen, described the produce from Jewish settlements in the Palestinian territory, including fruit, vegetables and palm oil, as "stolen goods".

He said that they were produced "on the back of house demolitions, land confiscations, racial segregation and military occupation", adding "the continued growth of settlements in the West Bank is making life for ordinary Palestinians a misery".
