Self-professed 'toy man' Ryan Tubridy paid a special visit to patients at Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin.

The visit was to raise awareness of the CMRF Crumlin 'Toughest Journey' campaign which aims to provide vital supports for sick children and their families - as hundreds of Irish children will spend Christmas Day in hospital this year.

CMRF Crumlin ambassador Ryan Tubridy said: "For lots of children, they get a laugh out of meeting the 'Toy Man' when they are staying in any hospital, especially at Christmas time.

"It's important we remember that while most families are enjoying Christmas Day surrounded by loved ones at home, not everyone is so lucky."
