Tourist suffers leg injury after falling off Howth cliff path

A woman had to be rescued by members of the Irish Coast Guard and Dublin Fire Brigade after injuring herself on Howth Head in Dublin.

The incident happened at around 11am yesterday morning.

It is understood the tourist suffered a leg injury after falling off the cliff path.

The Rescue 116 helicopter was also deployed but was not required.

She was brought by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital.
