Three teenagers rushed to hospital following shooting incident in north Dublin

Three teenagers have been taken to hospital after a shooting incident in North Dublin this evening.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a shooting on Shangan Green in Ballymun shortly before 8pm.

On arrival they discovered three males who had suffered apparent gun shot wounds.

A source said the injuries were most likely caused by shotgun pellets.

They were taken by ambulance to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and Children's University Hospital, Temple Street.

They are understood to be suffering from minor injuries.

The scene is preserved for a technical and forensic examination and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

Gardaí are investigating if the gun attack this evening is linked to an earlier stabbing in the area.

A teenager suffered knife injuries during an earlier attack.

A source said the incidents are connected to a local feud.
