Three men flee scene of attack as man (30s) hospitalised with apparent stab wounds

A man in his 30s has been hospitalised with apparent stab wounds following an assault on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred on the Hyde Road in Limerick at around 1pm.

It is believed that three men involved in the attack fled the scene in a silver coloured saloon in the direction of the city centre.

The injured man was taken to Limerick University Hospital and his condition is as yet unknown.
