Three All-Ireland winners miss five-star trip to Dubai
THREE of Donegal's All-Ireland winning stars have missed the team's five-star trip to the sun.
Both Mark McHugh and Paddy McBrearty have been forced to stay behind because of exams, while Frank McGlynn chose to stay at home with his wife Diane and their newborn baby.
The rest of the squad joined manager Jim McGuinness, their partners and their children as they arrived at a luxury hotel in Dubai last night after taking a lunchtime Emirates Airlines flight from Dublin.
The players checked in at the Arabian-themed Movenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate. The five-star luxury hotel boasts private beach access on the Palm Jumeirah, eight restaurants and two swimming pools. There's also a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
The trip is being paid for by donations to the Donegal County Board's players' fund.
They will return home on Tuesday, January 8.
