Their luck is in : Syndicate from Limerick GAA club scoop €192k in EuroMillions draw
Eight members of a 24-person syndicate from Ballybrown GAA Club in Co. Limerick, called to National Lottery HQ on Abbey Street this morning to collect a cheque for €192,935 their after matching 5 numbers and One Star prize in the EuroMillions draw last Friday.
The syndicate included players, club members and even the bar manager, ranging in age from 39 – 75.
The group has been playing EuroMillions together, twice a week, for over a year and are looking forward to hosting a big celebration at the GAA club in the upcoming weeks.
Theresa O’Neill, one of two women in the syndicate said:
“It’s absolutely wonderful, not only to win this fantastic prize, but to be able to share it with my close friends and neighbours -and my three uncles who are also in the syndicate.
“The others have always said that I’m the lucky one in the group because I’ve won a few small prizes here and there, hence why I’m responsible for buying our tickets.
"If I’m honest, I suspect it’s more to do with the fact that I’m the organised one but, after this win, I’m not complaining," she said.
