The secrets of a beauty and business guru
Busy times for the crew at Image Towers. They've just celebrated the first birthday of Bash, their bridal magazine, and marked the occasion with their BASH Create Awards, recognising creativity in the burgeoning wedding sector.
Melanie Morris, Image Publications Editor in Chief, is like a whirlwind these days so it was lovely to catch up with her at the Marker Hotel on Thursday where she was hosting a fascinating Q&A business session with the dynamic beauty and wellness guru, Liz Earle.
This is the woman who gave us the ultimate, affordable beauty product, Cleanse and Polish, which has won over 100 awards.
The Marker was full of chic women, intrigued to meet Liz who has a phenomenal range of hobbies and business interests which run from beauty, botanicals and wellness writing to jewellery design, charitable works, church, farming, a new online presence, lizearlewellbeing.com and a new book, Juice, out in January.
The mother-of-five lives with her film producer husband, Patrick Drummond, on a Wiltshire farm and she told me that her idea of heaven is "a clear weekend in the kitchen with a couple of flour-coated kids."
At the party, I spotted Richard Bradley, MD of Boots Ireland, Laura George, group editorial director, IMAGE, Denise Begley and Carmel O Callaghan co-owners of Wilde and Greene, Dr Kate Coleman, Drs Katherine and Jane Mulrooney, the glam architect Philippa Buckley and Abby Comyn from Boodles jewellers.
