The moment community learned of a daylight murder

The father-of-three (inset) was shot up to five times in the chest and stomach with a silenced handgun by a lone killer because of a row with a drug dealer.

He slumped, dying, to the ground as the gunman fled in a car driven by a waiting accomplice.

Although the dead man was known to gardai, his convictions were all for minor offences.
