An award-winning cafe, owned by The Cranberries guitarist Mike Hogan and his wife Siobhan, has closed its doors in Limerick.
Customers of The Sage Cafe in Limerick took to social media to express their sadness at the news, while the owners thanked their customers over their 11 years on Catherine Street in the city.
In a statement, The Sage Cafe said that it was with "heavy hearts" that they were announcing the closure.
It said that "Mike and Siobhan the owners have decided to pursue other avenues and would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of their loyal customers and friends over the years".
Describing the business as a "labour of love" they added that the decision to close the business had "not been easy" but after a great run they felt that "this is the right move for them".
