Ten puppies discovered in cream crackers cardboard boxes

Thankfully all 10 are now safe

Ten puppies abandoned in cardboard boxes in Kildare are now safe after being rescued by a local animal charity

Cara Rescue Dogs posted on their Facebook page about the puppies, who were found in a cream cracker box and a crisps box in Monasterevin, County Kildare.

The charity confirmed that all 10 were safe but they were appealing for anyone with information about them to get in touch.

They asked that anyone who knows anything about the puppies to contact 0860594375 in confidence.

Around 13,000 dogs are abandoned or left stray every year and 1,800 of them end up being put down according to the Department of the Environment
