Teenage boy dies after bus collides with a moped

A teenage boy has died after a collision between a Dublin Bus and a moped near Dublin Airport.

Gardai said the boy, whose age is not yet known, was riding what is believed to be a moped when he collided with the bus around 8pm on St Margaret's Road at the intersection of the R122 and R108 in Finglas.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains have been removed for post mortem.

The scene was preserved for forensic collision investigators while local diversions were put in place.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí say.
